Advertising Schedules and Calling for Applications

GMU-SET (Selection Entrance Test) is scheduled to take place in March and September of every year. The call for submitting applications for GMU-SET will be announced in leading newspapers and on the university website.

Selection Procedure

The candidates are required to appear for GMU-SET-PhD conducted and subjected to a University level interview. Candidates who qualify the written test and interview are eligible to take up the Ph.D programme.

Admission Process

  1. Written Test Procedure
  2. The Written Test will encompass core concepts within the respective faculties and is designed to assess candidates' depth of knowledge and their potential to conduct research. The test will evaluate logical and analytical abilities, reasoning skills, general knowledge, language proficiency, and core subject knowledge. Questions may be presented in various formats, including multiple-choice, fill in the blanks, one-two line answers, and short responses.



  3. Interview Procedure
  4. Candidates must deliver a presentation that summarizes their skills and areas of interest. The presentation format is downloadable from www.gmu.ac.in. A roughly ten-minute question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

    Each applicant will be evaluated on presentation abilities, the capacity to articulate complex concepts, and responses to hypothetical questions, among other appropriate criteria aimed at assessing the applicant's research and analytical aptitude.
