Eligibility Criteria
As notified by the Government of Karnataka from time to time.
The candidate shall have passed two years Pre-University Examination conducted by
Board of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State or 12th Standard or its equivalent recognised by
the University with English as one of the languages and Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects
along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as the optional
subjects.
The candidate should have obtained at least 50% mark. However, in the case of
candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/CAT-1, marks shall not be less than 45%.
Admission to II year/ III semester bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology
(Lateral Entry) shall be open to the candidates who are holders of a diploma or equivalent
qualification as recognized by university and the student should have obtained at least 50% mark.
However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/CAT-1, marks shall not be less
than 45%.
